Strain at The Draw
People are seen having strain at full draw on their arm muscles when using recurve bows. On the other hand, compound bows reduce the strain up to 90%. This is why a lot of hunters, especially beginners prefer using compound bows instead of using recurve bows.
Sight Picture
Compound and recurve bows differ in terms of the sight picture. The hunters have to look at the strong when using recurve arches. On the other hand, they need to have a peep sight when using compound bows. It would not be wrong to say that compound bows give a clear sight as compared to recurve bows. Both recurve and compound archers have to use sight in their setup. The sight is a sophisticated way for micro-adjustments in the point. Compound archers give magnified sights that give accurate shots to the archers.
Archer’s Paradox
Recurve bows have to deal with the archer’s paradox. This effect is done because of the heavy arrow that starts to bend. The archer’s paradox makes it challenging for the archer to shoot. It is to be mentioned that compound bows do not have the archer’s paradox. This is why it is easy to use compound bows instead of using recurve bows.
Average Scores
Compound and recurve bows differ in terms of average scores. It is to be mentioned that the archers can have higher scores by using compound bows instead of using a recurve bow. Archers can have more than 9 per arrow by using a compound bow and more than 7 by using recurve bows. So it is easier to aim by using a compound bow instead of using recurve bow.
Variable Draw Weight
Recurve and compound bows differ in terms of draw weight. The compound bows have variable draw weight. This helps the archers change the strength they need to put into getting a full draw.
Writing about hunting and crossbows is my favorite thing in my leisure. My father had a passion for crossbow hunting. So, it is no surprise why I love talking and writing about crossbow hunting. I also like walking around and talking to strangers whenever I feel low and empty.
